Bolt on Fender for Harley Davidson Street Bob / Dyna - Voodoo Fender UPDATE

It's been a long time since we originally posted about the Rocket Bobs Voodoo Fender kit waaaaaay back in 2009 so I think a wee update is long overdue.

The original Voodoo Bob where it all started!

Latest pic received from one of our awesome customers
Since then the Voodoo Fender has been fitted by many Harley Davidson owners around the world and the Rocket Bobs website now features a 'Customer Rides' gallery where you can see pictures of just a small selection of these guys & gals.  It's a good place to see the fender fitted to different bikes side by side, and includes cracking custom examples of the ever popular Harley Davidson Street Bob, Wide Glide, Fat Bob & Super Glide.

Standard length Voodoo Fender
The Voodoo Dyna Fender will fit all models from 06 onward 'off the shelf'.  However we can also do a modified version to fit all Dyna's so if you've got an earlier model then please get in touch.

The Voodoo Dyna Fender is available in raw, Denim Black and Vivid Black.  We also work with some of the most experienced painters in the business and can colour match your new fender to your existing paint scheme or offer a full custom design that really sets your bike apart.

The fenders are designed the length you see above for the struts, however we also do an extended +70mm version to accommodate a 2up seat (get in touch if you would like to discuss any other custom lengths).

The Voodoo Fender is extremely strong and consists of a 12 gauge steel fender mounted with 6 high tensile bolts (with inner blind holes so the fender mounts out of sight to keep a clean line) to two 10mm cold rolled steel struts, that in turn are cross braced into the frame.

The rear cross brace plate is supplied with shims so that you can alter the height of the fender off the rear tyre. This means that if you lower your ride or change up to an 18" wheel etc, the fender will adapt.

The standard fender struts come undrilled but we can drill the struts on request for you to mount your turns.

Alternatively we also do a Lightbar which mounts to the underside of the Voodoo Fender Kit and holds the lights between the shock and the frame rails.

There is a captive nut on the fender to accept OEM seats or the Rocket Bobs Weeli seat.

Of course not everything in life is totally straightforward (where would the fun be in that?!?) and to fit the Voodoo Dyna Mini Fender kit you do need to remove the OEM struts from your bike. We have a short video showing how this can be done (below), although this video is now very old and I should point out that you do not need a 9" disc cutter to cut the struts!  A 4" disc cutter is fine (although we have also seen the struts removed with a saw!) and hopefully we will have an updated video out soon.  At this point we do have to point out though that all modifications are undertaken at your own risk and may affect the warranty on you bike.

If you don't want the hassle on doing the mods yourself, and are based in the UK, then we are happy to have your bike in our workshop and do it for you.  We are based just outside Swindon, Wiltshire but if that's too far to travel we can arrange collection/delivery of your bike.

Or if you are based outside the UK and want to fly us out to you then we are more than happy to do that too!!

The Voodoo Fender is also available from Custom Chrome, so if you would like to get your fender fitted locally then you can arrange this through your local Custom Chrome dealer/workshop.

I'll leave the final words to Omran out there in Dubai...

If you want to discuss this or any other modifications to your bike then please do feel free to get in touch by phone or email.  You can find our contact details on the website.

    1. If you want to take a passenger then you are better going with the extended +70mm version of the Voodoo Fender which is just long enough to accommodate most OEM or pattern 2up seats.
